Customer Review: Great system and great deal!!
This is my first HTS. I bought it mostly for the extra features like USB and Ipod plus it plays almost every file format. Sound is great and it was easy to setup. So far, I’m very happy with the purchase. I have only 2 minor criticisms. First is that it would have been nice to have some sort of program for auto-leveling the speakers once they were placed. Two, I couldn’t find the batteries for my remote. But I might have thrown them out with the packaging cuz I was in such a hurry to set it up.
Customer Review: Hometheater in a box that rocks!
I’ve installed several of these systems, and they deliver a stlye and performance that cannot be beat! Very clean looking…a bit limited on connections, so don’t plan on hooking up a rack of gear to this system, but for a nice receiver, ipod dock, and cd/dvd play back, it delivers!
Radio mode has limted sound choices, but not a big deal….
Overall, a winner!

Customer Review: monster cable ipod car charger/connector
The Monster Cable ipod car charger is one of the few that, in addition to the charger cable, also allow to insert an additional cable between the charger itself and the car auxiliary port. Thus by connecting the ipod to the charger you are also connected to your car radio (If the cable to the aux. inlet is already inserted, that is). Surprisingly to me, the cable to connect to the aux. port is not included in the box though!
Customer Review: Introduces static noise
I used the charger and connected a iPod nano to my Lexus IS250 via a mini-stereo cable. All I got was loud static with music in the background.
When I disconnect the charger, the static went away.

Customer Review: Doesn’t work with 2nd Generation Shuffles
The product description says “Accepts all ipods including shuffle.” But the shuffle we have didn’t work. I contacted iLuv and they confirmed that “If your IPod shuffle is the second generation unfortunately it will not work with the docking station”. This is false/misleading advertising.
Customer Review: Good Sound -Poor Design
Overall, I like the product, good sound…with a few exceptions:
1)Be aware that the buzzer alarm is HORRIBLE…the pitch and sound pierces your central nervous system and it does NOT start low and increase as indicated in the manual.
2) There is no way to preset/store radio stations.
3) The time set/tuner and volume “buton” is an AWFUL design that is really hard to use/control. Design was NOT very well thought out.
This items is REALLY good if you only plan to use the IPod with it, that is its focus…everything else was an afterthought.

Customer Review: Sub-par for the Touch
I paid less than this elsewhere but it’s the same item. I use it to charge my iPod Touch and it hardly works. First off, you need to leave the iPod unlocked for it to work. Secondly, it won’t give it a very good charge. If you let it go overnight, the battery meter will be full and then as soon as you disconnect it to use it, it very quickly drains down to 1/4, or sometimes less. Now I need to find something that actually works. Suggestions would be appreciated.
Customer Review: Travel Friendly
I find myself traveling a lot, and I hated killing my ipod shuffle’s battery while doing so and ending up in silence for the last leg of my trips. I bought this and it has turned out to be a wonderful investment. I highly recommend buying this if you travel. My only fear is that its easy to forget this little thing; so maybe consider putting some bright colored duct tape on it so it will stand out in the hotel room. I hate to sound like a broken record, but I just want to say once more that this is ideal for travel. The prongs (for the electrical socket) fold into the device so it fits nicely in a purse, large jacket pocket, or suitcase.

Customer Review: works with iPod touch
I have no experience with FM transmitters, I’ve been told to avoid them though because they usually suck compared to a tape deck, or aux in. That being said, my new (used) car doesn’t have a tape deck, or aux in, just CD and AM/FM stereo. I did some research and found this one, while it doesn’t say it works with the iPod touch, that’s because it came out before the touch came out.
It does work with the touch, although the clear plastic holder is about a mm too narrow, so the fit is tight, but that’s nothing you cant fix by bending alittle.
As a transmitter, i’ve used it so far all day with no problems at all. It found a frequency, and i tuned the radio to it, and bam! music.
Customer Review: It’s so-so
This thing must depend highly on your vehicle and the existing stations in your locale. I had to flip through several bandwidths on several occasions to get any sound on the radio. It seems like stations that work one day do not work on another day. I do have this the Roadtrip positioned right in front of my radio BTW(’02 Pathfinder) I tried it in a different car and could’t get it to work at all in that one as well. So, basically, it works but with frequent fiddling. Also, when you dock and undock your iPod, it’s almost like resetting the Roadtrip so you have to start over in some cases. We also have a $19 iPod adapter (forget the brand)and it performs better than this one, we got this one because of the extender kit which does work well and seems relatively solid.
